Stone description: Ruby owes its captivating appearance to its red to purplish colouring, caused by a small admixture of chromium oxide. Its name also comes from its colour – rubeus is the Latin word for red. It is among the most valuable gemstones. The main producers of gem-quality rough include Burma; famous deposits can also be found in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia and Madagascar. In terms of composition, it is a gemstone variety of corundum – aluminium oxide.

About the product: A bracelet made of faceted ruby beads with a diameter of 4 mm. Faceting is the process of cutting smooth, polygonal facets. This treatment gives the beads an exceptional sparkle – faceted bracelets are thus elegant accessories suitable even for formal wear. The beads are strung on a double elastic cord with a length of approximately 18 cm; they are stretchy and fit every size.
