It is found in many deposits around the world; however, in some countries mining is already banned. Due to oxides, the wood can take on various shades. It can be black (due to carbon), green (due to copper, chromium and cobalt), yellow, red or brown (due to iron). During mineralization, the woody tissues and the typical wood structure were preserved, and growth rings and knots can be observed. The offered material comes from Madagascar.
