Stone description: Tiger’s eye is famous for its yellow to yellow-brown colour, additionally accompanied by a golden silky lustre. Thanks to its impressive look with radiant reflections, it is used to make exclusive figurines and jewellery. Its occurrence is limited to only a few localities worldwide, the best-known being the deposit in the Doorn Mountains in South Africa. In terms of composition, it is quartz penetrated by parallel fibres of so-called crocidolite asbestos.
