Stone description: Seraphinite is nicknamed the “angel stone”. It boasts a deep grey-green to green-black colour, enhanced by a velvety lustre and sometimes also unique patterns reminiscent of bird feathers. It is also specific in that it occurs only at one deposit in the Lake Baikal area in eastern Russia. In terms of composition, it is a gemstone variety of the mineral clinochlore.
