Stone description: Seraphinite is nicknamed the “angel stone”. It features a deep grey-green to green-black colour enhanced by a velvety lustre and sometimes also by unique patterns reminiscent of bird feathers. It is also specific in that it occurs only at a single deposit in the area of Lake Baikal in eastern Russia. In terms of composition, it is a gemstone variety of the mineral clinochlore.
