Stone description: Moonstone, also known as “moonstone”. The stone is unique for its gentle, rolling shimmer that intensifies with the correct orientation of the stone during cutting. Fine layers of the stone and internal inclusions create a moonlike sheen with a bluish effect. It comes from India. In terms of composition, it is a variety of potassium feldspar, adularia (or sanidine, more rarely albite).
