Stone description: Moonstone, also called moon gem. The stone is unique for its delicate wavering shimmer, which is intensified by the correct orientation of the stone during cutting. Fine layers of the stone and internal inclusions cause a moon-like sheen with a bluish effect. It comes from India. In terms of composition, it is a variety of the potassium feldspar adularia (or sanidine, more rarely also albite).
