Stone description: A mineral that is a sodium aluminosilicate with chlorine. It forms irregular grains and granular aggregates, more rarely well-formed crystals. Besides jewellery-making, sodalite is used to produce exclusive cladding and giant interior sculptures. The stone we offer comes from Namibia. Namibian sodalite differs in colour from other varieties; it reaches a deep blue shade and sometimes resembles lapis in colour.
