Stone description: As its name suggests, the mineral is coloured in olive-green shades. Over time, olivine has acquired various names – e.g. peridot, chrysolite or also the crusaders’ emerald. It is characterised by a variable content of magnesium and iron, which also changes the colour shade. The more iron, the richer the green. In terms of composition, it is a magnesium-iron silicate.
