Stone description: Larimar, also nicknamed the “dolphin stone”, is considered one of the rarest gemstones in the world – and thanks to its blue colouring with white veining, also one of the most beautiful. There is only one deposit of this mineral – in the Caribbean, in a small mountainous area on the island of Hispaniola. In terms of composition, it is a variety of pectolite.
