The mineral has a long history and was already used as a gemstone in antiquity. In the Czech lands, it can be found in the Podkrkonoší region, where it is nicknamed “masák”. However, the variety we offer comes from Malawi. Malawian carnelian stands out with a vivid orange-red to red-brown colour and is highly sought after worldwide.
