Stone description: Garnet is a distinctive mineral that exists in about 15 varieties. Among the most famous types are pyrope (red), almandine (reddish purple), grossular (green) and spessartine (orange). In terms of composition, it is a group of important rock-forming silicate minerals containing aluminium, iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, chromium and other elements.
