Stone description: A relatively rare mineral; in terms of composition it is an aluminium borosilicate that commonly forms blue, violet, brown, blue-green or pinkish fibrous aggregates or massive pieces. Brazilian dumortierite is famous for its intense blue to blue-grey colour. Thanks to this, it is often used to make small decorative objects and figurines.
