Stone description: Bull’s eye, also known as red tiger’s eye. Bull’s eye is created when tiger’s eye reddens during thermal processes in rock formation. In nature, however, this mineral is very rare and is found only in a few locations worldwide, the most famous being the deposit in the Doorn Mountains in South Africa. Because of its rarity, it is usually produced today by heat-treating tiger’s eye at temperatures around 500 °C. In terms of composition, it is a form of quartz permeated by parallel fibres of so-called crocidolite asbestos.
About the product: The package contains three pieces of tumbled stone. The size of the stones ranges approximately from 2.5 to 3.5 cm.
