Stone Description: Aventurine can occur in various colours ranging from red and yellow to green and brown. Brazilian pieces stand out for their green hue, caused by inclusions of fine flakes of chrome mica (fuchsite). In addition to its striking colour, it is prized for its high lustre and subtle sparkle created by dispersed mica or hematite flakes. In terms of composition, it is a variety of fine-grained quartz.
