Stone description: Rose quartz is a well-known and popular mineral that belongs to the quartz variety. It is semi-transparent to translucent, and its typical pink hue is caused by traces of manganese oxides. The main deposits are found in Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa and Namibia. Rose quartz is an excellent raw material for jewellery-making – its delicate pink shades make it very popular among jewellers and collectors.
