Stone description: Amethyst has been valued since antiquity for its charming purple colour and is a popular material for making various ornaments and jewellery. Zebra amethyst, also known as chevron, attracts attention with its distinctive “V”-shaped pattern, from which it takes its name. It forms by gradual crystallization from hydrothermal solutions, during which white quartz and purple amethyst precipitate with geometric regularity. It currently replaces the raw material from Namibian mines that is temporarily unavailable on the market. The uniqueness of this amethyst lies in its intense banding and dark purple colour, which together create a beautiful contrasting pattern and a very attractive appearance.
